On Sunday September 2nd I went to the Minnesota State Fair to find out why citizens of the United States of America of are voting on human rights and see if I could drum up the idea that this topic might just be a political diversion.

Thanks to the VOTE NO booth for taking the time to interview with me and to the VOTE YES booth; I look forward to hearing back from you.

How do you feel about being able to vote on civil rights, do you think our governments might be using this as a political diversion?

    nope.

Again, people should have the right to love who ever they want and maybe the real issue is the separation between church and state.

If State/GOVT would like to offer tax breaks and other perks to people showing commitment to each other maybe the State/GOVT can come up with a new word to use like 'Civil Commitment Law' and not involve the church in State issues.

I want a marriage not a civil commitment. Marriage isn't a religious institution.

I think you're missing the bigger topic here:

The real point I was making with this interview is how our GOVT might be using this platform to divert the average voter away from large topics... like over spending and killing the poor with the War on Drugs (at home) and the War on Terror (over seas)

This guys an idiot, were not hating on gays or anything about gays .. were just simply stating that marriage should be between a man and a women , just like it has been forever . Why should government get to change that.

Yes, it is absurd that this is even an issue at all, but that doesn't mean that its unimportant. The importance/unimportance of certain issues is a pretty subjective thing; what you see as a vital issue might be seen by others to be nothing more than a minor distraction.

The economy, education, immigration, foreign policy, taxes, and many other issues are more important then what John does with Sam in their home. The government needs to not regulate peoples morals.

I get what you are saying. But THIS issue still needs to be solved.
