Online Video Marketing -- 2011 The Year Of Your Online Brand

The Social Network Movie Told Us

Do you remember the line from Social Network? It was Justin Timberlake's character, Sean Parker (the first president of Facebook) who said, "We lived on farms, then we lived in cities, and now we're gonna live on the Internet."

We've been saying the same thing for years.

As an example, I kept saying that we will never die, we'll just live on in Facebook and our blogs. It's true. A friend died a year ago (from when this is being written) and his Facebook page is still alive with marketing tips and comments from friends.

If You Aren't Online, What Then?

Imagine your business as road kill.

The empty office. Ex-employees looking at you with watery, puppy eyes, silently asking why: Why didn't you create an online presence like all your competitors? Why couldn't you figure out a good way to use Facebook? Why weren't you smart enough to keep me out of the unemployment line?

What will you do if you don't have a practice or business? Is there someone you can go work for? Maybe your buddy from college has a place for you? Oh, you'd rather grow a second head than work for that clown? Okay then, what are your options?

Truth is, most people will consider you a chowderhead if you lose your business and they won't WANT you working for them. It's the ultimate black mark in the business world -- ignoring what people have been telling you and then asking us to feel sorry for you.

"Hey, look at this loser. He wasn't smart enough to keep his business afloat. Heck -- he didn't even have a Facebook Page!"

You Think This Doesn't Apply To YOU?

We're not trying to be cruel. We just really want you to get the point of this article.

And that point is... Everyone is moving online and sticking your head in the sand will not change that fact.
