Launched by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in conjunction with the Interfaith Youth Core, the Faiths Act Fellowship brings together thirty young leaders aged between 19 and 26 drawn from different faiths from the US, UK, and Canada to embark on a 10-month journey of multi-faith action.
Together, they will spearhead the Tony Blair Faith Foundations Faiths Act campaign. Faiths Act is the Foundations social action program, which mobilizes people of faith to work together on issues of health and global poverty, in order to help achieve the UNs Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
In this inaugural year, the Fellows come from a range of Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh communities. Their mission is to mobilize people of faith to raise awareness and resources to promote the MDGs: to create local action for global issues. Their initial focus is raising funds and awareness to help eliminate deaths from malaria, which causes up to a million unnecessary deaths each year.
The Fellows began their Fellowship in August 2009 with 2 months training in London, Chicago and across Africa. From October 2009 until May 2010, they will work in pairs to raise up a new generation of multi-faith activists and establish Faith Act Hubs in cities around the world. In doing so, they will build bridges of understanding between faiths and demonstrate the power and effectiveness of faiths working together to combat poverty and disease.
Romans 1. You kids are being deceived if you don't know it or you're purposefully forsaking the God of Creation, YHWY and will suffer for it. Repent and turn to Yeshua. Wide is the way that leads to destruction, Narrow is the Gate that Leads to Life! Repent, and humble yourselves...you cannot save the world.
