If the supporters of this had any clue of the amount of rescources and materials it takes to make ONE new engine from scratch, they might not be stroking themselves right now.  I guess when you can't spell because, you show us all who is stupid and ignorant and should be driving thier brand new car off a cliff.

You idoit! I saw many very nice cars CRUSHED! With low miles, good condition, and great running!! I can bet you that not even half of the cars traded in got under 22 Mpg! I have seen honda civics and alot of small gas savers get traded in on this bullshit! This is just another way of bailing out the auto companies, and we pretty much own GM so the government made all their money back in profits! Since when was a 2003 land rover a clunker? 2002 Honda Civic? Get real!!!!

From what I have heard, no automobile dealerships have been reimbursed for the money they have paid out for the clunkers. They paid out that money out of their own pockets. Uncle Sugar, our government wants to bankrupt and collapse the auto industry. Obama wants everyone to be totally dependent on him for their livelihood. Where are the millions of jobs he's supposed to create? I bet Obama is pissed that Ford is making money without his help.
