I have sickel cell too and I'm only 16 turning 17 years old. But I find that people with sickel cell are some of the most strongest people on earth because most people can't handle pain like that.

There is strong evidence that the crises are caused by the absence of a set compounds called Nitrilosides.

They are abundant in African diets, where sickle cell is common but crises are not.

Foods containing Nitrilosides include:

Cassava, Yams, Millet and seeds from most fruits.

Apple, Peach, Plum, Prune, Blackberry, Strawberry, Pear seeds contain high levels.
