It is heart-breaking to see an innocent man beaten by police.I think police and public must understand fundamentals of Democracy. Police is beating people every time for no reason which is against law of the land. Police is the one breaking the law. Police do not have any authority to punish the innocent, but no judiciary system taking action against them.

I was wondering, why all of the lawyers in Kerala are not reacting against the action, which is against democracy or constitution by police.

The cop should have just fined the guy rather than chasing him away by hitting him with a stick as if he's a stray animal. Tat would have been a more civilized and yet an effective way of handling the situation.

For an argument sake:- you will only learn the value of the policemen, if they give an advance notice to the authority and make it public that they will not act against any crimes in one night (This will never happened as these poor guys are not allowed to protest or strike as per the law, bust say as an example) you and your family don’t sleep peacefully in that night. When they do their job you hate them and disrespect them.

When they don’t do their job again you hate them and disrespect them and you the civilians always want respect from them. When you improve yourself, the police will also improve, as police is also a part of the society where you belong. They all are human beings like you and me. They have their beloved family. Do not demonise them when they do their job.
