These patrol tanks were created by Kevin Flynn, of Encom, for the video game, Space Paranoids. Unfortunately his work was stolen by Ed Dillinger then annexed by the Master Control program. Now they serve in a virtual world ruled by the MPC where they hunt down renegade programs.

The tanks were featured in the 1982 movie Tron. They were designed by Syd mead. This 3d model was created by John Picha.

  • ladies and gentleman! introducing the new grid tank 1.0! with a 360 degree spinning turret you can blast anywhere you want! enemies under the range of your cannon? just run over them! priced at juuuuuuust 987.789 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!

  • @Tylendal242 holy crap, you are right

  • Okay. Who here plays Warhammer 40k. Tau Hammerhead Gunships are totally based off of that thing.

  • Impressive! This looks very close to the original design!

  • theres also a game called Tank Universal. which is a very good rendition of the movies tank.

  • That looks much better than TRON 2.0. I'd pay for a game that looked that good.
