@TheSkaterboys22 There are a few things. First, make sure the room extends 4m in all directions around the spawner and two below it. Then make sure the water lines up with the hole. The last thing is that the block above the hole should be iron bars or glass panes because it's slightly inset. That kind of locks the spiders into that little slot so they go down the tube.

i have a quick question i need to know what those wooden things underground are is it called a dungeon because when i was playing i ran into some canal thingy underground and there was a bunch of skeletons and creepers and why does it matter if you are in a high level.

@Mrferb13 Sounds like you found an abandoned mineshaft. They're found randomly underground. There are two benefits: The first is that they contain chests with goodies (including diamond), but the most valuable is probably melon seeds. Melons are probably the best and easiest food to grow. The second benefit is the cave spiders. They're easier to find than a spider dungeon and are easier to herd for killing.
Levels are important for enchanting. You spend them like currency for enchanted items.

@Mrferb13 If you check my channel, you'll find a version of the XP farm that actually works. Since I've made that video, I've racked up over twenty levels worth of experience without using my sword once.
