@Ignozi well...in that case i agree with you...nostalgic reminder of 90's for a match or two...yes, BUT what i disagree with is that you said there won't be a chane for volleyers...like i said i still believe there will be a day a TURE and natural born volleyer will come and kick Nadal's ass match after match, will take GS's one after one and becomes a dominating and worshipped tennis idol...there WILL BE a day! believe me!

@Summon256 Of course there are going to be exceptions like Llodra and Tsonga but those cases are not the norm.
The change of surfaces and racket technology only allows so much of that style to be implemented. It's really nothing more than a nostalgic reminder of 90's tennis. A brief flashback which lasts for a match or two.

@Ignozi ...i guess you haven't seen it all...wait and see...oh and put AO 2008 Tsonga Nadal here on youtube and be surprised...

@aug298 Lendl, Edberg, Becker, Cash with Connors, McEnroe, Wilander, Noah, Leconte, Mecir etc belong to the 80s gen and were pretty much burnt out by 1990/92 latest. Sampras, Agassi, etc belong to the 90s gen. Also Costa, Gomez, Korda and Chang dont deserve to be named with the others. The 80s and the 70s were the greatest ever eras in talent, skill, S&V, baseline game, touch, thrills, finesse etc. But did you really find boring Sampras & Ivanisevic serving away more fun than Fed or even Hewitt?

I dearly miss this man.

we all miss Stefan so much - on and off the court , what happened to mens tennis today ? Apart from Federer and Nadal only boring roboters on the court - what happened to my LOVE tennis...

Please bring back the speed to the grass at wimbledon. Making it slower is sacriligious. Why don't they just lay out hard court surfaces in every tournament if they just want to standardize everything? Wimbledon is more and more resembling clay painted green.

Noone serves and volleys no more because the surfaces are getting slower, just compare the 2003 wimbledon final against 2008s, watch the ball bounce.
There is nothing more beautiful or more breathtaking than Stefan Edberg's tennis game when he is on. Every stroke is poetic, every movement lyrical... You need to see it to believe it.. His serve and volley game was so exciting to watch..... I started to watch Stefan Edberg playing tennis back in the late 80's ....was so impressed as a 7 year-old, and watching it again 20 years later on you tube, his matches are still classic...

love the excitement of tennis during the late 80's and 90's, grand slam'ers were always on the line to take titles: lendl, becker, edberg, agassi, chang, courier, cash, korda, bruguera, costa, gomez etc, it was smorgasboard out there, its quite boring now
