LUCASVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) -- Ohio's Governor steps in to delay a child killer's execution. The inmate was set to die Thursday morning. 40-year-old Ronald Phillips arrived at the prison in Lucasville Wednesday. He was set to die by lethal injection. Ohio was ready to use a new combination of deadly drugs. Monday, Phillips was denied a last-minute request to donate his organs to his ailing mother and sisters. Governor John Kasich is delaying the execution to examine the organ donation possibilities.
