Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. Thank you for changing our technology, our culture, and the world for the better.

This video features the gaming capability of the April 2010 released 13" MacBook Pro.

This video showcases StarCraft 2 gameplay on the new 2010 MacBook Pro 13". This is the second level of the game, also called "The Outlaws". Here are a few things to note: this is running on Windows 7 under BootCamp, Graphic settings are shown in the video, this is on Hard Difficulty setting. I am not that great at this game and you'll also notice I'm not anywhere on the screen's reflection. I'm actually using a USB keyboard, playing at a weird angle and this makes the gameplay even less impressive.

Look at the top right corner of the video for the actual FPS. The bottomline is this: with the settings shown on the video, the game was playable and still able to have that "eye-candy" look to it. Lowering the graphics settings to medium will give 10-20 more frames.

  • Please do, asap because the driver on OSX disc is really old, not sure if newer one will give better performace.

The thing is I know you have to have a modified INF file so driver from nvidia.com can find your gpu. but not sure how to do it? What is the version of your driver that you currently running?

  • @sup3r1or I'll answer this in my next video, uploading on tomorrow. Gotta sleep now =)

  • Listen do you know how to update standard nividia driver that came with the OSX Instlal DVD? Because it is reallly old:(

  • @sup3r1or Yeah, I can show that in a new video

  • Hey can you please say what settings are the best to set for MBP13 2010 on bootcamp. I use medium and physics on max but kind a slow:(

  • @sup3r1or Don't turn on PhysX. That's made for discrete graphics.

  • @darkdragontr

We're looking at how the system performs... hot key won't help our cause...

  • @TokiThor It's quite laggy for these settings, if a big battle occurs. And yes, I use the same exact Macbook Pro.

  • Does it lag in big battles? When two 200/200 supply armies collide?

  • How good is this online though? I'm debating on getting this, but I'm worried it can't handle the online multiplayer without serious lag

  • @JaymarkTech Hwy, will my laptop with core i5 2nd generation 2.9 GHz run this, aww, and btw, my graphic card is as same as good. plz reply!!!!

  • I'm gonna buy one of these soon. This game runs so shitty on my 17" HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. My brother & my friend both have Macbooks & this game runs smooth on both of theirs & they are from 2007.

  • does this thing get really hot???

  • Runs really smooth! Any idea if the new 2011 13 inch baseline will run similar? (due the new integrated Intel HD 3000)

  • please don't hate me for this but i have to admit that you are a N00B. Learning to use hotkeys and getting faster will improve your skills if you want to improve them

  • this game is pretty playable I've found even at 20 fps. It's not very good once it's below that but it's a little harder to notice lag in this game
