Xbox 360 Update | Flashed Console owners BEWARE!!! Dashboard 2.0.13140.0 What you NEED to know!

►►►Read First◄◄◄ Alright what is up everyone giving you Guys a quick heads up on what to expect with this new dashboard coming up in the next few weeks and for everyone currently on the beta build.

And to address additional Questions I Made some topics followed by answers below
Question.

Q: What is a flashed or Drive modded console?
A: Flashed consoles or Chipped consoles are modifying the drives firmware to run Backups of Xbox 360 Games.

Q: What will this effect?
A: People who currently own a flashed Xbox 360 Console and for people who Are looking into flashing there consoles Drive Firmware

Q: What Is antipiracy 2.5?
A: Anti-Piracy version 2.5 is the newest addition by Microsoft to detect custom DVD Drive firmware and is included in the new Kinect dashboard. This check has been included for some time but hasn't been activated until Kinect. This authentication blocks backups from being loaded and displays a message that states " This disc is unreadable." which looks like this http://www.logic-sunrise.com/images/images_contenu/FWblock.jpg

Q: Will I have to re flash my Drive after this update?
A: Yes and not only that there is a possibility That we will HAVE to re download and re-run our Games in a later version of ABGX360 for the AP2.5 Patche's as thus Microsoft is slowly implementing AP2.5 across all games, Meaning we will have to re burn current games some time soon.

Q: I am on a non flashed console Am I safe?
A: Yes This only pertains to individuals with modified Drive firmware

Q: Will I still be able to hotswap after this update
A: Yes but you will need a repatched ISO if they do implement AP2.5 into it.

Q: You said your Drive Key Is "Nulled" or "Blank" What does that mean?
A: If your familiar with flashing an Xbox 360 You will know you have to do a drive dump to get your key, Your drive key is how your Xbox 360 Identifies your Drive and matches it with your console, It is HIGHLY recommended you Make a BACKUP of your drive key before upgrading to the new dashboard

Q: I updated to the New dashboard and am unable to get my drive Key What do I do?
A: Either obtain your Drive key from a backup on your computer or to whoever flashed your console, I have heard rumors And I am not sure So no assumptions here but rumors of doing the MRA Hack to get your drive key.

Q: I am Using iXtreme Firmware 1.61 Not Lite Touch or LT+ Am I safe?
A: NO NO NO! And if your running that firmware and still are not banned I am suprised. All drive firmware prior to Lite Touch and LT+ IS DETECTABLE!

Q: I am Using Lite Touch on my Xbox and not The new Lite touch + or known as LT+ Am I still safe?
A: In an aspect yes Lite touch firmware right now is not detectable, But it is HIGHLY advised you switch to LT+ as soon as possible.

Q: I booted an AP2.5 Game with non LT+ firmware and Got disc unreadable error What does this mean?
A: Your console has been flagged for a console ban and will eventually be banned at some point, There is nothing you can do except hope for the best or get a new Xbox 360.

Q: What is this new XGD3 Disc your talking about?
A: It is Microsoft's New format of disc it has an additional 1GB of data written to the disc traditionally Xbox 360 Games occupy 5-6.5 GB of a Dual layer disc this new type of disc uses 7.8GB.

Q: I heard the new XGD3 Disc is A triple layer disc is this true?
A: No not at all, It is only adding an additional 1GB of data onto an already Dual layer disc which holds 8.5 GB of data.

Q: Which drives are effected?
A: essentially in a way all drives since this update re-flashes your drive back to stock.

Q: Are there any drives with no AP2.5 in them?
A: Yes Samsung MS-25 and MS-28 Drives along with Some series of Hitachi Don't have AP2.5 support meaning you can play AP2.5 games with no worries.

i got my self a xbox 360 elite and i want to flash it but all of the instructions are hard to understand and most are bad quality and your vids are easy or at least more easy to understand first do i need to open my xbox360 cos some say you can do it by usb memory stick and some others second what do i need and lastly what do i need to burn games thanks ohh and i subd all ready

I'm looking to get a xbox flashed, the one were I can borrow freinds games and copy them to my drive and then play em since I don't have internet. Just wondering do those kind of flashed xboxes still get the updates, and does the saved games still allow updates.

just had a xbox come in for rrod fix it was messed with before but i did the fix and updated to latest bing dash when i put retail games in it says play dvd it plays dvd movies fine the only thing i can think is sum1 put a dvd drive from another console thinking it would work or it was flashed and me updating messed it up idk but your thoughts will be appreciated thanks subbed

@thugzrusi - No you don't.......updates can be done by downloading update to computer then using USB-Key, or CD/DVD for updating via the consoles drive or USB port.

@seisarms - Your consoles drive must be re-flashed to latest iExtreme firmware. Any games that have AP 2.5 Challenges MUST be re-ripped and re-patched and burn't again. If this is not done the Games will fail the AP2.5 Challenges outright. So they won't work.
