This is a weird sword glitch found by GlxyDs and his friend in matchmaking.
Apparently all you need to do is dual wield and then pick up the sword. Thanks to H3F Blocked.

this isnt fake get a spiker and energy sword then put a spiker on the floor hold y as soon as you let go of y hold rb it will take a couple of tries

ok there's a vid on this glitch, go find it. I think you are supposed to have the sword on ur secondary then a dual wield-able weapon as ur primary then you hold y to switch weapons but as you switch weapons ur suppose to press RB or LB (forgot how to dual wield) to pick up another dual wield-able to access this glitch
