Democratic candidate for governor of Virginia Creigh Deeds gives the old "wink, wink" treatment to his plan to raise gasoline taxes on citizens. At a campaign stop in Hillsville, Deeds told a supporter that both she and he know how we would get money for roads, but acknowledges that he can't say it out loud.
How are they gonna RAISE taxes on gas and LOWER it for the middle class? If they raise tha tax on gas, everyone will have to waste more money on gas!

I'd gladly pay $2.50 more for a tank of gas if it meant we didn't have a crackpot fundamentalist for a governor.
For that matter, I'd gladly pay $50 more in taxes per week just to have crackpot fundamentalists out of my life completely. I'd call that a bargain.

That's why the tax money from the gas should go towards public transportation. Imagine-eventually you won't even need to pay for gas at all.

who do you think buy gas the middle class because we drive to work !!!! how does this help ?

We need higher gas taxes, and I'm actually unhappy that Deeds doesn't support them.
Raise taxes on gas, lower them for the middle class, it could do a lot of good.
