I'm thinking Mirai's the one to watch this season. She has the speed that Caroline lacks and the personality and crowd appeal that Rachael lacks. If she can fully rotate all of her jumps and stay on her feet, I really think she could win her 2nd US championship and make it on the Olympic team. She had a 3lz-3t back in 2008; if she gets that back, combined with her speed...whoa! Look out!

@vickyc99 Yuna and Mao aren't that great, especially their footworks, flexibility and spins. Mirai is at least three years younger than them. In the next Olympics, she's going to medal, especially when Yuna and Mao turn pro.

I couldn't agree more! Mirai's a good skater, but she has absolutely no chance against Mao and Yuna.

As much as I like Mirai, Caroline and Rachael for what they each offer to the table (which they do, each individually bring something beautiful), there is absolutely no hope for medals with our current American ladies. Even if the Japanese and Kim ROYALLY screw up, they can still pull out points beyond what any American skater could ream of (right now, anyway). We're just in a minor slump is all. BUT I still love our skaters!!
