You forgot to mention to say "Fish on" when battle fishing (and trust me, ship creek can get pretty crazy) so that your fish wont run into other lines; as you know, salmon is a fighting fish and will go back down stream quick.
Up close to the dam you can see them. The further you go down stream the deeper the water and the less visibility. The water is not very clear most of the time.
I had a question about fishing Ship Creek. At low tide, can you see the schools of salmon as they swim and hold in the shallow water, or is the water too murky? Also, can you traditional drift for the fish with a corky and yarn?
