The Thin Line Between Love and Hate [[chapter 48]]

Kelsey POV
I felt someone shaking me awake. I swatted them away, because this is not a good morning. I have a pounding headache.

Joe: Wake up Kels.

I groaned and turned away from Joe. He went to the other side of my bed and opened the curtains letting the sun shine through. It was bright, too bright for my liking.

Kelsey: Joe, close those.

Joe: No I dont think I will.

I laid face down on the bed and put the pillow over my head. Ah nice and dark.

Joe: Get. UP!

Kelsey: Go away Joe.

Joe: No.

He took my pillow letting the light hit my eyes again. I tried to shut it out.

Kelsey: Joe give that back.

Joe: NO. NOW UP!

I rolled my eyes.

Kelsey: I have a headache. Now. let. Me. sleep.

Joe: Well thats not my fault now isnt it?

I let last night replay in my head. Joe was not happy. And in fact, I was scared to even talk to him about it. Thats when I felt something cold and wet trickle down my head. I sat up.

Kelsey: What the hell was that for?

Joe: Well you wouldnt wake up so I had to do something.

Kelsey: well I dont need your help, thank you very much.

Joe: thats not what it looked like last night.

Kelsey: can I just get something for this headache right now?

Joe: I put advil by your bed.

Kelsey: thats not strong enough.

I got up and went over to my bathroom opening up the medicine cabinet. I searched and finally found what I was looking for. It was prescription. One of my friends from the academy gave them to me. Let me just say, they work wonders. I went to open the bottle when Joe came in. I tried to hide it but it was too late. He saw them. He tried to grab it from me.

Joe: What the hell are you doing?!

Kelsey: leave me alone.

Joe: I cant trust you alone, now give me those pills.

Kelsey: No. they are mine!

Joe; What are they for?!

He grabbed me from behind trying to reach for the bottle.

Kelsey: LET GO OF ME!

Joe: NOT TILL YOU GIVE ME THAT BOTTLE!

Kelsey: well Im not going to give them to you.
I opened it up and took a pill out of it. Joe still wouldnt let me go. I started trying to walk he tried to resist going the opposite way that I was going. I got to the cup of water and he tried to yank it all away.

Kelsey: LET GO!

Joe: NO! IM NOT LETTING YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF!

He knocked the pill out of my hand and I broke down. He caught me and I cried into his shirt.

Joe: Please. Let me help you.

Kelsey: He said it would all go away.

Joe: make what go away?

Kelsey: He said it would help.
