@viniciusb Your completely right. It's ridiculous how Nolan's being consistently ignored for his directing skills (which are, everyone who's worked with him confirms, phenomenal).

It's not entirely stupid. There's a lot of politics with the Oscars and certain filmmakers get snubbed consistently, Nolan is a master of visual spectacle and yes, is a good director.
I think Inception deserved best picture, but the other films do not warrant nominations for him except for best screenplay.
Nolan only deserved best director for one film: Memento, and maybe just Inception. He is the origin of these films, but it's Pfister's talent which won him the award.

This is stupid. Wally Pfister has been nominated for Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and for Inception and won the Oscar for Inception - only Chris Nolan's movies, mind you - meanwhile, Chris Nolan was never even nominated for an Academy Award. Who the fuck do they think is mostly responsible for these movies?

Good interview, horrible camera operator.
Should've stayed on Pfister the entire time, instead of switching to Guy Hendrix Dyas halfway through when he showed up.
