Yeah ur right, differences are better than similarities in ways, people are always striving to fit in and be the same, but you should always be yourself no matter how different.
If you watch some of their interviews or shows, they talk about their relationships with men when they were younger, and how they were not quite right. They only dated guys because it was deemed "normal". I dont think they one day thought "lets be lesbians"
Its more of a realisation, Im pretty sure your born gay

I am not trying to correct you, but I remember on an interview with Tegan and Sara that they said they weren't lesbians their entire life, that is why not many people knew that they were for a long time.
Though, you may still be right.
And yes, it is a great part. It is different, and in my personal opinion, I think that differences can be better than similarities in some ways.

This is the best version of the song. I love Tegan and Sara, and if I were to have an opportunity to be their friend, I would take it. They are so talented and intelligent, and to anyone who hates lesbiens, I think that it doesn't matter. The problem with people: they think that everyone has to be alike. These two inspire me. And I love their music, I have all of their albums, and I have to say, my favorite album is their last two, So Jealous and The Con.

The recording also won Springsteen his first Grammy Award, picking up the prize for Best Rock Vocal Performance in 1985.

The Springsteen version was a pop song ;p

Yeah I agree, they make fantastic music and thats all that matters.
Although I dont think its their "choice" to be lesbians. Its not like they had a say, its just who they are. Mind you, its a great part of who they are.

I agree with you so much. I think that Tegan and Sara are special, and I really don't care if they are lesbiens. I wouldn't want to be, but its their choice, I like them, and I have been to their concert (it was in 2007, I loved it) and I would love it if I got to be their friend.
