something I need to warn you about;

1) The CPU cheats and

2) Any time you mash buttons, the CPU will anticipate your attacks and react accordingly. That is, the moment a move gets too repetitive, the CPU will adjust immediately, so you can't get away with doing the same move over and over unless you catch the CPU off guard.

3) Timing is EVERYTHING. Any move will work, and every character is strong, if you have a good sense of timing. Character chosen depends on your personality.

Lei-Fei took Taka spot since the latter and Aoi were from Virtua Fighter 3.

it seems like down+p+k+g brings lei back into normal stance, have to test that.

Lei's stupid stances are really annoying, as if i could memorize this much^^

When translated, the kanji represents a position that you or your foe must be in that particular move (facing away; back to wall; when blocked or connected; floored; etc).

No; the most powerful character in the game is Akira. I inched my way up to him on the hardest mode, everything else left the same (damage, rounds, time, etc), and he killed me in only 3 seconds. Took me a few minutes to get over the shock.
