Piss Christ is a controversial photograph by American photographer Andres Serrano. It depicts a small plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine.

Sister Wendy is a person whose insight into art is admirable. I don't give a good goddamn about the fact that she is a nun. I've been an atheist for a long time and I can still say that I've learned things about being a good human and tolerance from a nun in my lifetime without the mention of the word jesus. She speaks about art not anything to do with religious beliefs get over yourselves people.

Any supposed Christian who stole, destroyed, threatened death to protect a statue will go to hell. Remember your commandments. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth. DO NOT WORSHIP PAINTINGS OR STATUES!

this woman is amazing. At a time when analytic criticism of the actual making and form of the painting, rather than concept and image, has collapsed in the art world, it is a catholic nun who is resuscitating it. It is like something out of Dostoevsky!
