Cilvēktiesības ir laba lieta. Bet pastāsti man, vai sākumskolas/pirmskolas vecuma bērniem ir jāskatās un jāprasa vecākiem rādot ar pirkstu pa TV uz praidistiem 'Kas tie tādi?' Vai tas nevar atstāt graujošu effektu uz bērna psihi? Uzskatu, ka homosekuāloties var, bet tas nav jāsludina.

Human HETERO-sexuality is not only reproductive, otherwise humans would have mating periods like animals. They don't. Apparently nature allows sexuality in humans for expressing affection and getting pleasure. So most human sexual activity is "unnatural" since it is non-reproductive.

Homosexuals can have a pride for the same reason that dairy farmers can gather for a protest in Riga. Latvia is a democracy and everyone is free to express their opinion. Before the Pride this year, there was a Family Festival, wasn't there? If you believe in that, I hope you went. I am a heterosexual too, but also a libertarian. Look that up on Google and inform yourself :).

Why do you make this something like "woow all latvians are against gay people, just because they are latvians"

What I saw were old ladies with oldfashioned thinking, a nun and young people who are there probably only because they have nothing else to do.

You can see that intolerance all over the world. Latvians aren't the biggest haters.

And the people who are writing here stuff like "Homosexuals are not human, they have no rights", are IDIOTS.

I find it OUTRAGEOUS that police authorizes a pack of naked perverts cruising through the city showing and doing all sort of obscenities, in front of children and anyone disapproving (very legitimally) such behaviour. Latvia is not a modern country generally. It's a little flyspeck of a place without a lot of modern education, although it's mostly the Russians that are the problem, not the Latvians, who are a lot more peaceful as people. The Russians are egomaniacal drunken animals.

I must admit I am not quite for these "gay pride parades" ,the flaunting and celebrating of their sexual preferences but at the same time it's scary that violent opposition swells and rears it's ugly head at such occasions. I care not for peoples sexual preferences and so need no reminding of it but I care less for violent types. Don't judge all Latvians though, stay reserved and read el4a's comment to get another side of the story.
