ReThink IT - Dear Mr. President, please...

ReThink IT is a video with a message that is important to all Americans and a message that is especially important to our next President.

We hope this "IT" video will be forwarded to millions of people around the world who don't even know they are losing their minds.

106 Million people worldwide by 2050 are expected to "Lose IT" and develop Alzheimer's, Dementia and Brain Disorders.

Don't think it won't be you or someone you love -- it can strike at any time and at any age.

The video was made by a Mom who loves her two children, Addi and Cassi, who are dying of "Childhood Alzheimer's."

It is a serious issue and I believe we need more funding and inquiries related to the issue. I lost my grandmother last October to it and it was a long and painfull road. As much as it killed me, I don't believe it's one of our "major" issues facing the country right now. I blieve it's much like cancer, and that it will take a long time to find a cure-so don't get your hopes up on a President who says they will make it a priority and then hate him after a year because there's no cure. To all of you who have made snide comments about this video and Alzheimer's Disease, you must have your head in the sand. If we don't address this terriable disease and find a cure, it will become the 21st century's health epidemic. Every 71 seconds an American develops Alzheimer's, by 2050 it will be every 33 seconds.If we don't get our President and Congress involved IT will bankrupt our whole medicare and medicad system.

Thanks Regraetz for posting this. Many of the postings on YouTube must be from young people who simply do not understand the issues or the consequences of having a bankrupt medicare system. The whole US healthcare system is going to flatline over this -- American's would be shocked to know what I have learned in the past year since our kids got this diagnosis. We have researchers who don't even share data with each other yet are working in the same areas and trying to solve the same problems.

I think the best way to cure IT is to keep the government out of our business. Seems like it does more to hurt this movement than to help it. I say keep the government out of this like your life depended on it!

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) funds many researchers studying Alzheimer's with millions of dollars -- the government can't stay out of our business when it comes to health. We need to government to provide MORE fundings. Please people, get educated before you post insane comments on this video!

Amazing video! I'm in tears. Great music as well. My grandma is still alive. She's been living with IT for 16 years now. I am fortunate enough that I work in my grandma's nursing home so I get to see her and check up on her then I stay and feed her dinner. She can't feed herself any more :(

Obama the lawyer/senator won the 2008 elections. But would he change the US ruling strategy or continue to co-op with the Global Destruction Alliance not ready to give anyone the right to live but their school of thought. Because reign of Bush is the darkest resulting in decline of U.S in all sectors particularly economy. Bush just destroyed global peace resulting in burst of US economy balloon. If the same attitude goes on in Obamas reign very soon USA may lose the title of the super power.

Hi, the democratic wish of the majority of Americans was to select Barack Obama. Now give the guy a chance and wish him well. To wish him ill is undemocratic and seriously insulting even to John Mc Cain who has promised to support the new President.

Of course there will be a sick minority for reasons other than straight politics, race, who will never accept him - so let them know they will never be accepted by the majority of all decent people of different parties and nations.
