Ich teste wie sich eine GPU gegenüber eine CPU beim knacken eines Passwortes verhält.

Dabei verwende ich den Nvidia Cuda Version 2.0

Und den aktuellen 177 Treiber.

The test was fairly one-sided since it is well known (at least i think..) that windows has a poor kernel in what concerns handling multiple cores properly, so it would not be shocking to see that actually there was only one core working while the GPU was fully used...

@p1ra73x do not agree. You still can't hack md5 or sha1. Google hash and also salted hash. It is possible to find the same hash for two entries but that is just means that hash algorithm is bad or that the he bit string is too short. However if the program uses a salted hash you will never guess/hack it. Or if the program uses a very long bit string to compute the hash you will also never guess/hack it

@comicsserg18 actually its very easy to crack. most people think of "cracking" a password/key as just trying one thing and then trying another, but there is so much more being done.

Google MD5 collision. it happens very very often.

it is impossible to crack md5 because it's a one way hashing algorithm, unless you know that the password was from dictionary and hash does not contain any salt

seriously, use fucking google translate or even learn the language, and just look up md5 hash on wikipedia, and learn a fucking programing language, not that fucking hard... and the whole world does not speak english. get fucking used to it...
