@ConnieKramerDialysis Observation after you have removed the fluid the added time is for cleaning. If you finish at the same time you are missing valuable cleaning time. Remember dialysis is for fluid removal and cleaning.

Just a question? If you go up from 8.8 on dialysate usage won't you have a shorter dialysis time ? should'nt affect anything else. Just seems a shame when your already operating at such high speeds on blood? Why not max out on top (green) Dialysate?

Thank you, kdrpiper, for watching and your comment! I always get my FULL "cleaning" time. I lower the hourly fluid removal rate to finish as the dialysate is done and at zero. Both numbers are at zero before I stop treatment. I do this so I don't have to sit AFTER the dialysate is done and at zero to continue removing fluid. Seems like a waste of time to do that. But I will sit there if the goal is reached and at zero to continue using dialysate. I hope this cleared up any concern. Thanks again.

Excellent observation! and thank you so much for viewing and asking your question. Yes, you are absolutely correct. Maxing out the up green button for dialysate usage would shorten treatment time. The reason I don't is because the machine vibrates and shakes just a little too much for my liking at anything above 8.8. The extra treatment is worth not having to hear the extra noise.
Take care across the pond. Connie

At 2:28 video jumps to 2 minutes left in the treatment. At 2:30 fluid goal is met.
