Those cam chain tensioner cracked parts break off little pieces and you will find all the little pieces often down in the oil sump screen.
BTW...You did a beautiful job on that rear seat part on the blue bike.

Hey just wondering if you have finished the cafe racer yet?
I'm thinking of having a go at building one, wondering what you bought your rundown bike for at the start? I'm trying to gauge a good price to start at. Like you said you did get lucky with the engine but was able to ride when you first got it?

@maximiliaanvankuyk - I say Give it a Go! I usually don't like buying anything over $500.00 (Cb 750s). Knowing I'll be spending about $1000.00 for fixings. At best, a running bike. I bought the Gold and Cream Cafe bike (somewhere in my videos) for $200.00 as a basket (did not run) and put lots of hours into rebuilding it. Ebay and Motorcycle Swap Meets will be your best friends. Good Luck

Wow Simon, this series is great!
Also it's nice to see that you got a variety of builds going on, not just focusing on one style! I like that..
I'm building a 2 valve BMW (thebmwr80.blogspot.com) myself right now so it's always nice to get some inspiration.
Keep it up man, you're doing a good job.

@tomakchloupek2 Thanks a lot! You know, I don't get much help here. I usually have to bribe my "friend" to get a little help. It's usually self-motivation and passion that drives us. I'd love to see what you've got going on. I've always wanted to build a BMW. To me they are very sophisticated...and expensive. Good Luck
