that was one cute gopher

@bslatky That wasn't the original Paramount titles for Gopher Spinach. That was from Popeye for President, although the Intro was kind of like the original titles.

I have this cartoon on what I wanna say is a Public Domain DVD with cartoons featuring Popeye, Betty Boop, Woody Woodpecker, Casper, Mighty Mouse, Little Audrey, and many others. This cartoon is on that DVD with the original Paramount titles (before this was licensed by A.A.P.). This is probably my favorite in that set. BTW, 4 people "hasn't got the heart to pull the trigger".

One of the first Paramount cartoons in 16:9 Vistavision.

You'd think the artists would have tried to make the spinach plants look like spinach plants.

Popeye's reaction when he sees the bull charging him, at 5:05, has to be one of the strangest takes in cartoon history.
"Aaa... aaa... aaa aaa aaa aaa!" What the hell was that? I remember it freaking me out when I was a kid. It didn't seem funny. It seemed like he was in serious, mortal danger—the worst he'd ever faced in any of his adventures. I don't think I'd ever seen Popeye scared before.
Surely Sinbad's two-headed giant was scarier than that bull, but Popeye didn't seem to think so.
