This is the fourth part in a four part video discussing NaomiKnights improper DMCA complaint against Amazing Muslim.
Diebold used to be the biggest manufacturer of voting machines in the United States. Unfortunately, their electronic voting machines had more bugs in them than a roach motel. Internal memos discussing their faulty machines were posted on the internet and Diebold tried to cover this up through the DMCA. I discussed this in more detail in this video and on my website:

The purpose of copyright law:

I explained the why Congress passed the DMCA and how the DMCA does the exact opposite of what Copyright Law was intended to do in this video response to Melsbasketcase:

The Four-Factor balancing test that Naomi should use is she wants to demonstrate that AmazingMuslims use of her video was not Fair Use:

Fair use is absolutely a requirement for freedom, and because of technology we can't be stopped from having fair use. All kinds of stuff gets posted here inspite of DMCAs. It will just get better. They can't keep us down.

Yeah, h8uall66, you're probably right; she won't be gone for long. I never knew about her when she operated the Naomi94 account, but after watching how she handled the inmendham and DMCA situations, she appears to be very self-centered.

And what fraction of civilization relies on open source? The people in the movement had a *choice* to do with their work, as they please. Good for them too, BTW. But none of the members in open source make their living off of it, now do they? They can afford the luxury of their convictions because they make a living doing other things. Musicians and authors, as well as others, don't have that luxury.

The thing is, these forms of media are already available free for download. I can go on any number of torrent sites and download any book I want right now, with very very little to fear from the legal forces that be. It's like the war on drugs, It's against the law but it fails to stop anyone from doing them.

So the open source movement for software has ground that sector to a halt?

Well done, as usual, TMA. I have to say that I was dumbstruck by the news of Naomi's actions. Not only did she under mine her own arguments against Muslim fundamentalist that would trash things like FofS, she undermined the work that you(and many others) are doing in shit canning this unconstitutional law known as the DMCA. I would like to hear her explanation, as you stated, to see if there was any valid reason for her actions. For now I just don't know what to think.

How about inventions like pharmaceuticals? What you are proposing would grind creativity and inventiveness to a halt. Who the fuck would bother to promote ideas or concepts that could improve society as a whole if they get nothing for it? We'd still be in caves with your philosophy.

Looks like naomiknight's channel has been suspended temporarily
antybu86 2 years ago
voicesinthehead's account was suspended shortly before she closed her account. I'm GUESSING that Youtube suspended it because they categorized VOITH's videos where he and Naomi video'd Inmendham's house as stalking. Naomi participated in this event as well, so it's possible she felt her account was soon to be suspended.
themaskedanalyst 2 years ago
If this is the case then she may have closed her account in order to pre-empt Youtube from suspending it. Either that, or she might have wanted a way out of having to answer my challenge.
But if I had to make a guess, I would guess that she closed her account to avoid suspension and not because she was running away from my challenge.

I think everything should be copyright free. Music, movies, books, anything that can be copied should be OK to copy and available for Fair Use as long as you don't attempt to sell it, or take credit on your own. Basically if you don't want something reproduced or used by another keep it locked up.
fractal420 2 years ago
The problem with that is, once you make this material available for free, then few people will pay the author/creator. And if few people pay authors for their work, then few people will take the time to produce new works. Do you have any idea how much effort it takes to right a book? Why would anyone want to devote that type of effort if there was no chance for them to be paid for their efforts because someone has posted it online?
themaskedanalyst 2 years ago
Doesn't matter. Information should be free. Even plagiarizing and selling the work of others does not constitute a violent act that would justify violence in return.
atypicalguy 2 years ago
Who said anything about violence? I certainly didn't. And though information should be free, the way that information is expressed should not be. Facts can't be copyrighted, but the way they are expressed can be. And if you infringe on someone's copyright in such a manner that it will deprive them of making a profit off of their work, they do have a right to sue you.
You don't work for free, do you? If so, why do you expect others to give you their work for free?
