nobody gives a shit about oscars anymore. because since "people" started voting, oscars just ruined. oscar are bullshit. especially for europe. we really don't give a damn. and i really don't understand why people exaggerate that much... but i'm respectful to your opinions don't get me wrong.

I actually don't have a problem with animated films like "Up" getting nominated for Best Picture. BTW, the "Avatar" that was nominated was not the cartoon, it was the one with the blue aliens. But yeah, I can see why anyone would not like the fact that it was competing for that Oscar.

Here it goes my 2009 best Picture list:

1- DAS WEISSE BAND / THE WHITE RIBBON

2 - THE LOVELY BONES

3 - HACHIKO: A DOG'S STORY / HACHI: A DOG'S TALE

4 - (500) DAYS OF SUMMER

5 - MAO'S LAST DANCER

5 films. I don't believe in a "10 movies list". What happens with a list of 10 ?...things like: "Blind side", "Toy story 3" and "Up".

Totally agree about Gandhi*, I thought it was great. Personally, I think E.T. is a bit overrated, it was okay but I think Gandhi was a more worthy winnner.
