Are there alot of adjustments needed right out of the box to get the heli flying properly? Is it difficult to adjust the tail? I've never dealt with a belt driven tail before.

No its not hard at all to adjust the tail. The will fly right out of the box and great for the beginner. I'll sell you mine. I have too many helis.
