I think I like the name Something Like Silas better but i like there newer sound the best, they are such a good band they are tied with my favorite band right now
I agree. FoF came out with their full length album, "Twilight" and I must say it is their best work. The variety of style, along with the same passion from SLS, it's breathtaking. Especially Sanctitatis. Beautiful song.
That makes me sad that commercial success seems to be king rather than THE KING being the King of all.I admire folks who don't compromise because I know the temptation is great to do so. We all sin and fall short but it's nice to see a band shout Jesus and remember who got them where they are. I am praying much success over the new band....but I still will always miss SLS.
...SLS is something amazingly different in a sea of sameness. I also love the innovative way they praise God in what they do. They arent afraid to say the name of Jesus in their lyrics for fear it won't be played mainstream. And they glorify God at their shows. You dont see that much anymore unless it's something like Hillsong United (which I love also). You know...people who advertise themselves as "worship".
Thanks. I'll check it out. I do LOVE Eric's voice. Very unique. I am so tired of all other bands sounding exactly alike...predictable. I mean the Bible does say make a joyful noise and I am not knocking what they do...it's just...vanilla.
Yeah i got Divine Invitation after I saw them. I eventually acquired all but one of their other albums. (Eric's Mom is really nice...at least over email.) She even got Eric to sign them all. It was really cool. They are definitely more than you'd expect.
I miss Malina singing too, but FoF has their own unique style. Pick up their EP. It only has six songs, but it only costs five or six dollars. They have a store link on MySpace.

Good song. Can anyone give me a clue what the lyrics mean?

Me too, I might be able to see them this year at Cornerstone Festival...if I can make it.

Well. I will certainly try to spread the word about FOF. I'd like to see them live.
