Brown Mountain Lights from Wisemans Overlook

On a clear, dark night on October, 9, 2010, seven people watched an orange light appear above Brown Mountain. This bright light turned on, slowly rose and then turned off, like a switch. We saw this three times and in different areas over Table Rock. I got a shot of it once.

thats so crazy. me and my friend went to brown mt lookout on 181 on 11/1/11 and saw the same thang! 3 TIMES!.

I've seen them a couple times from the same overlook. It's a very interesting phenomenon!

The lights in the background are from Morganton. Great post! No doubt authentic. I love the talk about what an airplane should look like. I thought a helicopter with a spot light was coming at me around Brown Mountain a couple of years ago... until I realized it was just a ball of plasma.
