  • @kozmon0t No i replied to raulevich not you and I'm glad the trick worked because i wanted my reply to be printed... in fact i also wanted to point out that Baumann won this very same event 4 years later at Barcelona and he did it with his customary deadly finish. Nuff said?

  • @davewphillips I replied to raulevich, and you replied to me. You deleted it afterwards but deleted replies are still delivered. It's an old YT trick.

  • @davewphillips It is a better tactic to try to win gold than to not try at all. Baumann didn't even try.

What "happened" to Castro was meaningless. He tried to win the race. Baumann went for the silver - and an athlete who goes for the silver doesn't belong in an Olympic final. Nobody remembers silver medals, but everyone remembers Castro trying to catch Ngugi.

Strong finishers are a dime a dozen. Now quit trolling me, dammit.

  • @kozmon0t Rubbish! To go out after Ngugi the way castro did and then die with 20 meters to go is just bad tactics and nothing else.fact is no one including Castro expected Ngugi to go out so early but then Ngugi knew he did not have as deadly a finish as some of the other runners in the field. What happened to Castro was tough but that's how it goes. Baumann was a strong finisher and proved it!

  • @davewphillips I'm not raulevich

And Baumann and Kunze were going for the silver. Better to go for the gold and fail, than to go for the silver and succeed.

  • Aah give it a rest will ya "raulevich" - Castro ran the wrong race! Ngugi had the balls to try and win and he did! castro meanwhile, got it all wrong.

  • @raulevich Castro won better than a silver medal. He won the medal of having the balls to try to win.

  • The last European to win this event 1992

  • pobre castro

  • du meinst silber hinter....
