Colorado right now is experiencing its worst fire season in history. At least one person has died from the Waldo canyon fire and about 350 homes have been destroyed. it's been devastating for the state and as firefighters work to try to contain the fire, many scientists are scrambling to understand it. But could it be connected to Climate Change. Kristine discusses with David Roberts Senior Staff Writer at Grist.org.

Another global warming fanatic who resorts to insults, the numbers you said I pulled from my ass were taken from a US senate committee on environment & public works post, published Aug 29 2007. As I said in an earlier post These scientists are the ones promoting geo-engineering (chemtrails) as a "solution" to this non problem, keep breathing in the barium, sulphur & strontium while missing the elephant in the room - the SUN. William Anderegg a STUDENT at Standford when he wrote that study lol

Of 528 total papers on climate change, only 38 (7%) gave an explicit endorsement of the consensus. If one considers "implicit" endorsement (accepting the consensus without explicit statement), the figure rises to 45%. However, while only 32 papers (6%) reject the consensus outright, the largest category (48%) are neutral papers, refusing to either accept or reject the hypothesis. This is no "consensus. You mention NASA, the US Military & the EPA - all Gov't, they never lie do they.

So you agree then that the sun contributes to the warming?

Because you should be aware that most people dismiss the sun entirely because they can not produce a reasonably accurate model right? There is a HUGE difference between having a 1/3 influence on the warming and none at all. Now lets look at water vapor and not just the suns rays, which is something Leans model is not able to take into consideration. Now all of the sudden we could be looking at 1/2 the influence of the wamring if not more

Fine, since you are too lazy, or too stupid, to look into these things then here is one for the sun and its effect on climate change: "Reconstruction of Solar Irradiance Since 1610: Implications For Climate Change" by Judith Lean. Here is the short and skinny: sun spot activity was responsible for a .86 degree rise in surface temperature during the PRE-industrial period from 1610-1800. Now do you need me to cite sources for you to prove that the Warm Period and Little Ice Age happened?

Yet another BS reply. Everything I have said is substantiated. Its not like the Little Ice Age and the Medieval Warm Period is unsubstantiated gossip. These things happened and are a part of the historical record. Nice try though.

I see another meaningless broad comment from someone that couldn't think of a decent worthwhile point or at the very least a semi-decent come back.

Remember that Reagan era commercial with the bear in the woods (representing the Soviet Union) basically saying we should be prepared in case he attacks us? The same thing should apply to global warming. If you just pass if off as natural and it turns out not to be........... Hmmm I guess the conservatives will have to flip-flop on this! (no and I'm not for the faggot-ass anti gun liberals either.)

The fires could very well be natural. Look at the arctic ice sheets and snow packs around the Northern Hemisphere. There is no denying that they are shrinking. Is it natural, or is it man made? If it is natural, great. If it is man made, and we don't change, we are causing our own extinction. People in the future that are witnessing the dying of our planet might look back and see idiotic quotes from people like "1977dclinton", I don't think they'll think too highly of him :)

What do you call someone who is very PRO Second Amendment, but also believes in man made global warming? Guess that conservative/liberal shit is just for the idiot masses :)

    Lololol global warming.

Its crazy that some people immediately resort to making it a serious issue when a random hot season comes by. Some people should look at a little thing called an almanac xD
