I have the same truck, I purchased it for my lawn service is a daily tow vehicle. I'm very suprised at how well these trucks tow. I put on a heavy duty tow package and with the 5 speed manual transmission, I tow 3500lbs daily with ease and occasionally 6000lbs. For only a 2.7 4 banger, this truck is really a beast. Everything you ask it to do, it will do. Cool video.

@MidnightRambler73 the 2.5 is a car engine. Horsepower means nothing offroad or in a truck. torque and gearing is what you need for a truck. not a car like the rav4. the 2.7 has tons of low end grunt

Cool vid, and nice driving. Always nice to see a stock Taco gettin put to the test. I didn't know the 4 banger Tacos were so good at going up hills, too. Yours walked up that one little climb there like it was nothing. Post some more vids when you get that thing built up!

This truck is awesome offroad. The wheelbase is 4inches longer than a Wrangler Rubicon and the stock ground clearance is the same. This truck will go anywhere i ask it too. new 2009 and 2010 tacomas have TRAC which is LSD front and rear. works awesome.

Is your truck TRD off road or sports ?

Neither, TRD packages only come on access cab or double cab v6s

The Regular cab 4x4 only comes in 5speed 2.7l I have 800 miles on this truck, I was just testing the stock capabilities so i would have a comparison for after its modded. It has good power and gets about 23mpg.
