Former Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman said GOP presidential candidate and Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has reaped the rewards of national political exposure, but remains unsure about her next moves if her presidential campaign is unsuccessful.
-----
On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund Chairman Norm Coleman and President Brian Walsh joined the Monitor Breakfast for a conversation with reporters.
Norman Bertram Coleman, Jr. is an American attorney and politician. He was a United States senator from Minnesota from 2003 to 2009. Coleman was elected in 2002 and served in the 108th, 109th, and 110th Congresses. Before becoming a senator, he was mayor of Saint Paul, Minnesota, from 1994 to 2002. Previously a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), Coleman became a Republican in 1996.
Coleman's 2008 US Senate re-election bid, in which he was challenged by Democrat Al Franken and former senator Dean Barkley, was long unresolved. His term ended on January 3, 2009, and after a six-month legal battle in which he lost each of his contests, the Minnesota Supreme Court unanimously declared Franken the election winner by 312 votes (out of over 3 million cast) on June 30, 2009, prompting Coleman to concede.
As of 2011, Coleman works as an adviser and board director with the Republican Jewish Coalition.
The more exposure she gets, the more people are made aware of how completely out of her nut she is. If you want to see that as "good", knock yourself out. No, really.

I thought Bachmann (clone of Palin) was just a prop or toy the Republican party put on stage at the debates so that she could just answer every question with Obama-bashing so the other "candidates" could come off looking "better".

These republicans have to quit doing events that only educated people attend or watch. Look at the ratings of this video. I'm sure the Bachmann people are not watching Fora. This guy is fighting a losing battle while the ship is sinking.

@regemo IMHO Her district is so gerrymandered that even the most conservative democrat can not get elected there. As long as she is the only republican running for that seat there will be enough willfully ignorant fundy fucktards to keep reelecting her.

I try to argue against people who believe in depopulation all the time ,but when it comes to these type of people the Bachmen era , ehhh. I get the argument.

Would Minnesota voters re-elect her after all the craziness so far? Her husband running "ex-gay" therapy and calling gays barbarians that need to be civilized. Statements that christians should control government. And the fact that they have property that has benefited from government financial programs that they have criticized.
It's a mess.

We had no idea how retarded she was until she went public!

The amount of Americans in total who think she's qualified is probably very close to what they think of Palin (about only 1 in 4).

Actually, I think it's just the OPPOSITE. Once more Americans, esp. fellow Republicans, have seen JUST HOW WACKY this woman is, they were turned off relatively quickly. For starters, they KNOW she has no chance against Obama, so there's no way in hell she's gonna get nominated anytime soon. Obama would CLOBBER her in the polls, perhaps even more so than he did John McCain! The ONLY thing that could possibly help Michele get more votes than usual, although still not winning, is the weak econ.
