That's actually a very interesting point ... since there is an advertising tie-in, does the movie scene become a product-placement after-the-fact? Could it be argued that the producers knew full well that there would be a real-world product as they shot the scene?

In fact, could you not argue that the entire film is a kind of "product placement" for the novels?

Bertty botts was introduced in the book... it wasn't a real thing till after the movie came out.

@TORATechnoNerd I think so. Bertty Botts was invented by J.K. Rowling when she wrote the books. Due to their invention in the books the were sold as Harry Potter merchandise, so it isn't exactly product placement.
