Im glad someone saw the humor in the ad. Its funny, i have a non bikini version of the ad too but this bikini one has almost 5 times more views.

People may critique on here all they want (and im sure i could find a picture of a shirtless guy in a kilt on many of their fb pages and one loud lady here has pictures of her wearing a tshirt that reads "wench"....)

The only critiques ill listen to are the ones from customers and so far i have had nothing but good words.

Of course I will take your $50 and you can be whatever you want! Have you bought my video? Have you watched it? I doubt it. What I am trying to do is bring medieval martial arts to the masses in a way that is based on medieval texts and tempered by experience. My experience is limited. I have never killed anyone with a sword, so I work that part in theory. Ive only competed in armoured and unarmoured sword tournaments around the world with different rules sets and have had a some good success.

I really like the arma videos. I wont go into critiquing them because this isnt the place for them.

I wont go into how I feel about ARMA because It isnt also the place but I do respect that they were one of the first to write books on the subject that werent just translations.

My dvd, goes over some of those techniques, just in a drillable way. Ive never been a fan of the extend a punch and stand there while the other guy does a cool move training regieme.

Feel free to judge the dvd and my swordfighting by the drills shown in the DVD, but remember, drills arent swordfighting. They are gross muscle exercises to work on a subset of skill.

Plus, its your right to not like what I do. I will never please everyone and I certainly dont think I could ever do anything that ARMA guys would like and embrace. We have two different philosophies when it comes to this stuff and Im ok with that.

This video is, honestly, terrible. This is an insult to the craft, and exactly the kind of representation of Renaissance Martial Arts we don't want the general public thinking of when they think of European sword combat. This is the exact reason so few people have respect for historical European combat arts, because they instantly think of silliness like this, or foam larp games.

As a HEMA/ WMA practionner and teacher I am completely and utterly disgusted by this video. As a woman I actually think I threw up a little in my mouth watching the bikini "babes" (using horrible technique) parade around. I am going to say that you, "Sir" are an absolute disgrace to the HEMA/ WMA community and your sexist video is sending waves of anger and disappointment to many women I know within the martial practice. Good luck finding yourself welcome in any respectable WMA community.

As a swordswoman, particularly as a longswordswoman, I am profoundly disappointed to see how you are representing female combatants. Its just so disrespectful to your fellow fighters. I really dont know what to say. Other than you best not try this in Scotland. The women fighters, not to mention the men, just won't stand for it. That is not how we treat each other here.
