Oh gosh I love this scene. I replayed it like four times and I still giggle when Sookie looks to the side quick before saying 'hi' one more time unsurely. XD I so wanted to be a part of that world and live in Stars Hollow. This show had one of the best groups of supporting characters ever.

My theory is that Rune is just severely frightened by Lorelai, because of how beautiful and confident she is, and how insecure he undoubtedly is with himself, so he reacts hostile toward her. I'm not a shrink, but that's what makes most sense to me! Not that it matters that much in the end - as long as it's funny, which it is!

Rune is flippin' TINY, and you can't even see Lorlai's ears because her hair is covering them. He deserves a good smack with her purse. I wish Rune would've appeared in later scenes when she was with Luke. He'd have taken the lil shrimpy idiot out.
