This is a vid i made of the last fibrous plastering job i did for income. Three coats were applied ( two base coats and one sandable top coat. Stick on mesh tape was used. This work would take about 7 - 7.5 hours (including setup, plasterwork completed, packup, clean up and a short break. The length of time taken to complete this job can be altered using different techniques; for instance - using stick on mesh tape with one base coat is quicker than using paper tape with two base coats. It depends on the clients cost and quality expectations - i am a retired fibrous plasterer i specialized in ornamental work i also acquired skills as a hard plasterer ( white set - exterior) and acrylic plasterer ( paint based exterior textures and handyman ( jack of all) , total of 24 years.
Don't see much fibre there mate

@celtplast Yep good one - in the early 1980s the stick on mesh used to be three times as strong, the tape they use now is thin and weak, still the strongest tape is paper, paper takes longer to apply and leaves a bulge compared to the thin mesh and not used for patching. I think if you want a really strong mesh tape for your interior recessed edge join - maybe acrylic render mesh join tape would be the best - ( but then just use the paper tape ). But yer the new stick on mesh is crap and cracks
