Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse (originally known as 悪魔城伝説 or Akumajō Densetsu, meaning "Legend of the Demon Castle") is the story of Trevor Belmont's battle against Dracula from the times before Simon's battle in Castlevania. In this complex and difficult game, there are three playable allies whom Trevor can recruit: Alucard (Dracula's son), Grant DaNasty (a pirate captain), and Sypha Belnades (a mystic warlord).
This game has a technically high-quality soundtrack because it uses a VRC6 sound chip that works in the Japanese Famicom but not in the NES. Thus, the movie was made with the Japanese version of the game instead of the USA version.
This movie takes the path that recruits Alucard. It is about 39 seconds faster than the previous movie, played by Genisto. There's also a Grant path movie and a Sypha path movie.
Damn, it's a shame our western NES consoles didn't support the VRC6 chip. The game sounds awesome. Great TAS overall.

@cnh2132 At the end of the first level, you can decide whether or not to go to the clock tower to rescue Grant. Either way, you go to 3-0 next, which branches into two paths, one leading to Sypha and one to Alucard. If you take either, Grant (if you have him) leaves. Those are your choices; you don't have *quite* as much leeway as the instructions make it sound.

@Tricksterknight No it is not. You can not leave Trevor behind. And when you get with one of your friends to another one you are asked to choose between them.
IE: if you get with Trevor and Sypha to Alucard, you are asked if you are willing to let Sypha go and continue your journey with Alucard. If you get to Sypha with Trevor and Grant, again you are asked if you will leave Grant behind to continue with Sypha. And so on.
