I like your point about the readily available themes not really being there for Drupal. As a UX/UI guy, and a PHP developer, I LOVE Drupal. The other big deal for me was that I could set up a Drupal "Farm" with many domains running off the same drupal core. With Wordpress, I had to be on the same domain. So updates to Wordpress x 20+ sites....PAINFUL. Both are great platforms, depending on your use.

This video should be taken down... both CMS engines have made leaps and bounds since '07. I <3 Drupal, but if you have to ask you're better off with Wordpress.

I actually like Textpattern the most for a simple blog website. You need to be a designer to create a website with Textpattern though. I find Wordpress very boring.
