Guy Earle's Vancouver Lesbian Controversy

these lesbian activists try to use the crime of gay bashing as a way to claim victim status, despite the fact that only gay males are the targets of gay bashing. Being gay bashed is not a fear that lesbians face now, or have ever had to face in the past. It is no more wrong to tell a lesbian that you think she is a closet heterosexual, than it is to tell a straight man that you think he is a closet homosexual. Its called teasing/arguing, and it is healthy.

@archestratus what is the controversy now? I said judge will probably be a dyke - so what? I recall the Toronto gay circus Pride Parade started off with DYKES ON BIKES proudly displaying themselves and their club's name - go after them if you have an issue with my comment. Please pick your issues with more care as there is no issue raised here by me, and your remarks (criticism?)
are simply vague and without apparent purpose.

@PGKKK comments like this remind people how important it is we still have human rights enshrined in Canada, and a tribunal to call to task those who aim to infringe on the human rights of others.

@bogdanmil The Human Rights Commission didn't go into a comedy club. Two patrons from the comedy club filed a complaint as a result of this goofball's hate-speech in a public place. And on Davie Street no less!
How dim is a comedian who goes to a club in Vancouver thinking that homophobia will go over well?
Good comedians skate close to the line, and they're funny. Bad ones cross it and get burned.
Reminds of Michael Richards' (Kramer) similar career-ending racist tirade on stage.

@zutandmerde I can learn to like that policy.

@Dipstikk In Canada, freedom of speech does not apply to hate speech.
-
why are so many people talking in the background?

@neoflyboy That's a bit much. Anyone who has watched a significant amount of comedy can tell you that hecklers come in all shapes and sizes, sexual orientations, intelligence levels, etc., etc. The only thing that links them all is their arrogance.
Situational comics attack hecklers based on the situation and the characteristics of the heckler that deviate from the norm; that's true in all situations. None of the other hecklers went home at night with PTSD...PTSD! Really? Come on now.

The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, along with the Canadian Human Rights Commission and any other arms of Canada's censorious bureaucracy need to be abolished ASAP.
@MrTpolich
Earle is to pay this maggot 15 large, plus interest; and the restaurant/club another 7 grand plus. He also has to pay his own legal costs, while hers are covered by the Tribunal.
Human rights my arse.

This guy comes across as a very negative person. "Washed up" is what comes to mind when I see/listen to him.
