I was there last night, and I had a blast. What's wrong with that? I live on 5th ave and this shit is going on right in front of my apartment. I like what it is, and do not care for a change. This is not New Orleans. This is San Diego. This is San Diego's Mardi Gras. Of course it is different than New Orleans Mardi Gras.

Don't take it the wrong way, but if you feel so strong about the lack of entertainment, then perhaps you should get in contact with the directors. That way you can give possible modifications and better the outcome.

@wrangleroooo Tickets were $25 - Parade and the after party at several stages.

Typical. All the way down the parade, I felt as if I were in one big gogo house club. This is NOT what Mardi Gras is about. The original Mardi Gras is in New Orleans. I'll bet the promoters of this event haven't even been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, nor do they care.

@addean79 The after party has gone the way of a mini Rave almost. Several people said the same thing when I was out taking pictures.. There were still thousands of people out having Fun and that's the main point.
New Orleans will always be the Original in the US. There is No substitute.....
