Gamma Sigma Alpha is a national honor society committed to ensuring that its members have high academic achievements while having a great Greek experience. They promote their core values through scholarships, academic recognition and research initiatives.

The society is headquartered in Indianapolis, with more than 200 chapters across the country and in Canada. Only students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above at the start of their junior year, or a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in any semester of their junior or senior year are eligible.

The Missouri State University chapter of Gamma Sigma Alpha was recognized for their high GPAs during the 2008 spring and fall semesters. This award signifies that the Greek society achieved a higher overall GPA than that of the non-fraternity and sorority students on campus.

Representing the Missouri State GSA chapter are Megan Akirk and Andrew Schustler. And on the court to congratulate them is Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Earl Dolman. Ladies and gentlemen please acknowledge the accomplishments of the Missouri State Gamma Sigma Alpha chapter. It is in the Bancorp South Academic Spotlight.
