  • You're lucky you can even turn yours on. (Well not lucky but a step ahead of me). Mine bricked after 5 minutes of ownership. I cannot turn it on or charge after trying ever suggestion I can find online. This is with the out of the box OS 2007.

  • Hmm, that sounds really bad. I actually think I fixed mine - I removed the batter for about an hour - supposedly this drained the internal battery/memory - It seems to function normally now - You should try this, or if not, your warranty DEFINITELY covers your N800 if you bought it new.

    Good luck

  • hmmm, tomu bohuzel, vubec nerozumim:-D

  • I have the same problems with my N800 after upgrading.

I'm 100% sure it has something to do with the OS2008

  • Oddly enough this morning after it was sitting idle all night it did turn on, but all setting were erased. I used it for an hour, then shut it off and same problem. Returned it to the store, it worked after the 1 hour drive there. Shut it off, and it was dead again, haha. Went for the refund. Too bad, when it works it's the best portable web device I have used.

  • There is something wrong with your N800.

I also flashed mine with OS2008.

When I push the power button quickly (less than 2 secs) it will go to Device Mode: Lock Touch Screen and keys, Offline, Lock device or Switch Off. Click Switch off results to really off.

If I press my power button for a longer time (4 secs or more), the N800 immediately just shuts off.

    try reflashing again.

    Hope this helps.
