Hey i am looking for advice . Can i use a fine metal mesh tea strainer to trap the sediment before it goes into the decanter?

Well it is 2011, I tried to decant a 2004 Queen Adelaide Pinot Noir. Sadly, after all that time, it just went past its best. It was starting to taste like a weak port.

Leaving the wine in the decanter for 6 hours...would that not raise the serving temp well past 18C? Assume the room temp is 21C. Would it not become 21C?

Thanks for this, man! I am underage, so I don't drink, but I needed some sort of visual explanation of decanting so that I would be able to get a good grade on a Chemistry exam. This made it a lot easier to understand! Thanks!

Weird he doesn't decant the wines he tastes in the other episodes...
