@staarun Close, but not quite true, in my opinion. I'd like to say Connors pulled tennis out of the Country Clubs and brought it to the streets. But then again, tennis would be nowhere without the "Rocket" Rod Laver and Australian crew of the 1960's that stood firm on being paid as professionals and not treated like amateurs. Before them, pros couldn't play most tournaments! I' saying that each generation has it's Borg, Laver, Conners, McEnroe. Andre was great and he writes ONE HELL OF A BOOK!

@miggy25 Agassi dominated Sampras. It wasn't even close. Just check the record books. Andre has a few more slams, and is arguably the greatest player of all time. Oh yeah!

ye but pete he wasn't good enough in clay for andre and at Australian Open whitch is a particular surface.
But I agree that andre in 1999 was destroyed by pete on grass. even if he had one it in 1992
