Jemmy Madison is the first official PIMP in the White House. Dolly helped usher in the "Era of Good Feelings." It has been documented that she spent hours being an "ambassador of goodwill" to many leaders. I have nothing against Glenn Beck, but a lot of these pundit squares act like the founding fathers were as pure as the Jesus figure allegedly was. They weren't. Ben Franklin loved hos, as did Hamilton, Jefferson and many other people who helped create this wonderful country.

I love how he didn't even really talk about Madison, Shame!!
James Madison, Thomas Paine, and Thomas Jefferson are my favorite founders. :)

Stupidest man alive.

@Psexton77 Because people in general cannot stand to listen to the other side - unless there own side appears to be crumbling. Once we stop pre-judging the world starts changing. Also Beck has no credentials - which mean he's playing catch up all the time - someone so driven though - will end up pretty formidable. Nonetheless learning the scientific and socratic method on the fly - he may never study - methodology - which academics call snearingly "factologist" - the facts without rigour

George Washington NEVER called James Madison a "withered little apple". I believe it was Washington Irving who called him that, and there is a HUGE difference between those two names. Still, it is Glenn Beck, and I fully expect these sort of mistakes from entertainers.

@Psexton77 AMEN...Beck's message is like you said ..exactly.
-
The 17th ammendment was primarily championed by populists and republicans of the early 1900s, and it seems Mr. Beck didn't read that the senatorial corruptions at which he scoffed were, in fact, nationally driven from industrial giants and subject to state legislature bribery for positions (much more easily since it didn't have the attention of a state-wide election system), with some states frequently having no senatorial representation for as much as two and a half years at a time.
-
Actually, James Madison wanted the Senate to represent the people as well. One of the disappointments of James Madison in the Constitutional Convention was the failure of his proposal to have proportional representation, because he felt, and Madison made this clear, that the States would bring what he called their "vices" to the Senate if they were equally represented. Of course Glenn Beck doesn't actually read James Madison.

@Psexton77 Oh I'm sorry, how has the Liberal Government "Oppressed" you? Is it the Senior-killing healthcare under construction? Or is it all the godless homosexuals not being refused the right to marry? Or is it not letting Psychopathic Ex-cons roam free with .50 Caliber handcannons in their twitchy palms? As for his "message", I suppose a self-proclaimed clown and entertainer spewing nonsense and prefabricated lies from his mouth for the sole purpose of money can be considered a message.

Does anyone have video of the episode where they're discussing what all is unconstitutional and one of the things they talked about was photo ID. The guy kinda read about it a little bit and then Judge Napolitano describes that yes it's unconstitutional.
Seems a lotta the stuff they discussed seems fairly normal today. We're gettin' screwed!
I can't figure out how most of you are against Beck.. His message might be delivered radically.. but the message itself is freedom from oppressive government.
How many of you here prefer the government running your lives?
