For those who didn't think that West Virginia had a chance in the Fiesta Bowl, God Almighty proved them wrong. Not only did the best team win, but the good guys won. As penalty after penalty accumulated against the Sooners, soon their chances were gone.

Congratulations to the winners. I have no comment on the selection of Bill Stewart as the new Head Coach. However, I recommend a one day fast for each and every member of the WVU team, as a gift and in thanks to God for helping you, and to prepare yourselves for next year. For the losers, forty days and forty nights in the wilderness.

This was the only college bowl game I selected. I was not a West Virginia fan before this game, although I am now, nor did I have any prior opinion of the Sooners, although after all the penalties I saw, I do now.

Consider the curious coincidence below, also. West Virginia's theme song is the well known tune, "Take me home country roads." A song sung by a man who played a modern day Jonah, in the only movie role John Denver ever starred in.

It was a game to remember, that's for sure. The numeric outcome is what will stick in my mind. This formula, "by four ways and in two parts," was used to predict two hurricanes this year, the number 4 storm Dean, and the number 8 storm Humberto, so to have the winner chalk up 48 points is amazing. I heard one ESPN commentator call OU the "red storm." I bet he's eating his words now. The storm came all right, and it left OU on the dusty trail.

lol, i moved from oklahoma about 4 weeks ago, i rooted for wv cause well i always have, and after they won all the sonner fan were crying that it was the ref's flaut they lost, but ou is jsut a dirty team, there were tons of pents that the ref didn't call, so for the sonner fans... SUCK IT UP,

oklahoma was a talented team but we won because we wanted to show the world that even though we lost our old coach dosn't mean that we would be out of the game but OU was a good team

i don't see why WVU fans should hold a grudge against Oklahoma and their fans, obviously the staff with the Fiesta bowl know more about college football than ESPN and most other TV commentators

It is clear the sooners are on a downward spiral and there end as the big boy in the Big12 is coming to an end.....I say they lose atleast 4 games next year.(Washington,Texas,OSU,Tex­as A&M,Texas Tech and, maybe TCU) Sooner fans take heart,you had a good run but,all good things must come to an end...The power shift has started to move north (Mizzou and Kansas)and to the other south teams (OSU,Texas and,Texas Tech).....Face it,your time is over.....Enjoy the Independence bowl next year.
